Privacy Policy
Trend to PDF (“we”, “us”) is a web app at trendtopdf.com that helps you find PDF product ideas and generate PDF guides. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Account information.Your email address when you sign in with an email link, or the email address and basic profile information Google shares with us when you choose “Continue with Google”.
- Content you create. The keywords and categories you search, the ideas and scores returned, and the PDF guides you generate, saved to your search history.
- Credits and purchases.Your credit balance and a ledger of credit usage and purchases. Card details are entered on Stripe’s pages and are never seen or stored by us.
- Connected accounts. If you connect Gumroad, we store an encrypted access token, your Gumroad user ID and username, and a record of the products you publish through the app.
- Technical data. Cookies needed to keep you signed in, and standard server logs (such as IP address and request details) kept by our hosting providers for security and troubleshooting.
Google user data
When you sign in with Google we request only your email address, name, and profile picture (the openid, email, and profile scopes). We use your email address to create and identify your account and to send sign-in emails. We do not access your Gmail, Drive, Calendar, contacts, or any other Google data.
Trend to PDF’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. We do not sell Google user data, use it for advertising, or allow humans to read it except with your consent, for security purposes, or to comply with the law.
How we use information
- To create your account, sign you in, and keep your session secure.
- To generate ideas, market scores, and PDF guides you request.
- To process purchases and maintain your credit balance.
- To publish products to a connected account when you ask us to.
- To send transactional emails such as sign-in links and receipts.
- To prevent abuse, fix problems, and improve the service.
We do not sell your personal information and we do not show ads.
Service providers we share data with
We share only what each provider needs to do its job. Providers act on our behalf and are bound by their own privacy terms.
- Supabase (self-hosted by us) for authentication, database, and file storage.
- Vercel for hosting the application.
- Stripe for payments.
- Resend for sending sign-in and transactional email.
- AI model providers (Anthropic, OpenAI, OpenRouter) which receive the keywords, categories, and guide titles needed to write ideas and PDF content. We do not send your email address to them.
- Market-data and image sources (SerpApi, Reddit, Pexels) which receive the search keyword to return trend signals and images.
- Gumroad, only if you connect it and choose to publish.
We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users and service.
Retention and deletion
We keep your account data and search history until you ask us to delete it. To delete your account and associated data, email support@trendtopdf.com from the address you signed up with. We will act on verified requests within 30 days, except where we must keep records for legal or accounting reasons (for example, payment records). You can also disconnect Gumroad at any time from within the app.
Security
Data is transmitted over HTTPS, access to the database is restricted by row-level security so users can read only their own records, and connected account tokens are stored encrypted. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@trendtopdf.com.
Children
Trend to PDF is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The effective date above shows when it last changed, and we will make significant changes visible in the app.
